Level 3 Training – Fall 2027 – In-person

1707

Level 3 training is a specialised course and the final step you can take as an IFS therapist or practitioner. To enter a Level 3 training you’ll need to first graduate from a Level 2.

On our Level 3 training, you’ll work intensively with fellow advanced therapists and practitioners to explore and further develop your knowledge of IFS and refine the skills you have already learned and use in your work. The goal is not simply to help you become a better therapist, but also to give you the possibility to:

  • Learn about and unburden blind spots and personal triggers
  • Hold self-energy in your daily life – even when provoked
  • Clarify your vision for both your career and your life path
  • Practise giving and receiving self-led feedback
  • Discover some key trailheads
  • Explore your spirituality
  • Become part of a self-led community of like-minded professionals.

The objectives of the training are first and foremost to further your own work with

your internal system. It also aims to provide you with new material as well as expand

and deepen topics you already know, with an emphasis on the spiritual aspects of the

model.

New IFS admissions policy for Denmark
Effective from January 1, 2025

Thank you for your interest in IFS and in IFS Institute’s training programs.

As you begin the enrollment process, we would like to provide you with important information on our programs and details of our admissions policy.

IFS Institute Level 1, 2 and 3 IFSI Trainings

The IFS model is an evidence-based modality of psychotherapy as well as a theory of the mind and for some, an approach to living a more compassionate life.

The IFS Institute’s Level 1, 2 and 3 trainings are specifically designed to provide instruction in the evidence-based psychotherapy model. Our training programs provide continuing education in the IFS model for established mental health care professionals with existing mental health care education, experience and credentials.

The IFS Institute’s trainings are deeply experiential, combining lectures, question and answer sessions, demonstrations and individual practice in the presence of skilled and experienced therapists. These trainings provide a 3:1 participant to program assistant ratio to ensure a high degree of support as participants learn and practice the model.

The IFS Institute’s trainings provide instruction in the IFS model alone and do not attempt to provide the educational foundation necessary to provide mental health care.

What this means for our Admissions Policy:

IFS Institute invites professionals who are providing mental health care in compliance with applicable national/regional/local laws and regulations to apply to our Level 1,2 and 3 programs.

As a qualified mental health care professional, you are responsible for applying the learnings from your IFS Institute trainings in compliance with your professional standards and scope.

    1. Purpose and Context

Thank you for your interest in IFS and in IFS Sweden’s Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Training Programs.

As you begin the application process, we would like to provide you with important information about the Training Programs and the Admissions Policy applicable to IFS Institute Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Trainings in Sweden.

The Trainings are organized in collaboration between IFS Sweden, IFS Nordics and the Training Organizer, in accordance with the standards and guidelines established by the IFS Institute (IFSI).

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a transformative, effective model of psychotherapy with growing evidence base, with the view that the mind is naturally multiple and that we all have a core Self that can’t be damaged and that knows how to heal.

IFS Institute Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Trainings are specifically designed to provide instruction in the evidence-based psychotherapy model of Internal Family Systems (IFS).

The Training Programs provide continuing professional education in the IFS model for established mental health professionals with relevant education, clinical experience and professional qualifications.

The Trainings are deeply experiential, combining lectures, question-and-answer sessions, demonstrations, and individual and group practice under the supervision of experienced IFS Therapists and Program Assistants. To ensure a high level of quality, participant support and safety, a participant-to-Program Assistant ratio of approximately 3:1 is maintained throughout the Training.

The Trainings provide instruction in the IFS model only and are not intended to provide the foundational education required to independently practice mental health care, health care or psychotherapy. Completion of an IFS Training Program does not constitute professional licensure and does not, in itself, confer any legal authorization to practice such professions.

    1. What This Means for Our Admissions Policy

Considering the above, IFS Sweden welcomes applications from professionals who practice within the field of mental health in compliance with the applicable laws, regulations and professional standards governing their jurisdiction.

As a qualified mental health professional, you are responsible for applying the knowledge and skills acquired through your IFS Training within your professional competence, scope of practice, applicable legislation and ethical standards.

    1. Professional Responsibility

Participants are solely responsible for the application of the IFS model within their own professional practice.

The IFS Institute, IFS Nordics, IFS Sweden and the Training Organizer assume no responsibility for a participant’s professional practice or use of the IFS model outside the Training context.

    1. Admissions Policy

In light of the above, all applicants applying for IFS Institute Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 Trainings in Sweden on or after August 15, 2026, must submit the written declaration below to the Training Organizer.
